This Privacy Policy describes how the StreakNest application (“the app”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Data You Store in the App

The app allows you to create and manage categories, tasks, and checklist templates. This includes:

• Category name, icon, color, and reset period (daily/weekly/monthly/none).
• Tasks (title, due date, completion status, order).
• Built‑in checklist templates that you can add.

All of this data is stored locally on your device using an internal database (Hive). We do not collect, store, or transmit this personal content to any of our own servers.

1.2. Settings & Preferences

The app saves some settings to improve your experience:

• Theme preference (light / dark mode).
• Selected language (English / Vietnamese).
• First‑launch status to decide whether to show starter templates.
• Reset schedule for each category.

These preferences are also stored only on your device and are not sent outside the app.

1.3. Third‑Party Services (Advertising)

The app uses third‑party advertising SDKs, specifically Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), to display banner and interstitial ads.

The advertising SDK may automatically collect certain information for the purpose of serving and measuring ads, such as:

• Device information (device type, OS version, advertising ID, system language, etc.).
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, etc.).
• IP address, which may be used to infer general location (region/country level).

Collection and processing of this data is handled by the ad provider in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and the policies of the respective app stores (App Store / Google Play).

2. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

• To provide checklist and habit‑tracking functionality, including periodic resets.
• To store your personal preferences (theme, language, templates, etc.).
• To display ads in order to support development and maintenance of the app.

We do not use your data for:

• Tracking you across other apps or websites for our own purposes.
• Selling or sharing your personal checklist data with third parties (other than aggregated/standard data handled by the ad SDK).

3. Storage and Retention

• Your checklist data and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Data may be removed if you uninstall the app, clear the app’s data, or reset your device.
• Data collected by advertising SDKs is stored according to each provider’s own policies.

4. Data Sharing

We may share data in the following cases:

• Ad providers: Advertising SDKs (such as Google Mobile Ads) receive certain technical data in order to serve ads.
• Legal requirements: When required by law or valid legal process from competent authorities.

We do not share your personal checklist content (categories, tasks) with any third party.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access and edit: You can view, add, edit, and delete categories and tasks directly in the app.
• Delete data: You can delete individual items, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data on your device.
• Control personalized ads: You can restrict or turn off personalized ads in your device’s privacy/ads settings (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android).

6. Security

We rely on the storage mechanisms provided by the platform (Flutter/Hive). While no system is perfectly secure, we aim to use reputable libraries and best practices to protect your data.

Because your data is stored on your device, you are responsible for protecting your device using a passcode, PIN, Face ID/Touch ID, or other security methods offered by your operating system.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is not specifically targeted at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action (such as deleting the data, if applicable).

8. International Users

If you use the app from outside your country of residence, your information may be processed in the country where the ad provider’s servers or services are located. By using the app, you consent to such processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our privacy practices.
